Responsible for the daily leadership of the Fitness operation ensuring all guest experiences- cleanliness- colleague engagement- revenue- productivity and expenses are controlled in keeping with the positioning of Willow Stream Spa

Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Assistant Spa Director- responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:Consistently offer professional-
engaging and friendly serviceHire- lead- coach-
train and manage performance of fitness colleagues.Contribute to manag
membershipsActs as a Fitnes
public relation- increasing health and fitness level at the hotel- the town o
Banff and the Bow Valley.Work with the Sp
Group and Sales Manager to promote personal training and special fitness
challenges and events.Develop- administer
and co‑ordinate safe programs including aerobics and special group or outdoor
engagement- guests satisfaction and financial goals for department.Present an
appropriate health model to members by staying in shape.Design and implement
all controls for classes which may include attendance sheets- invoices and
class schedules.Effectively schedule
all Fitness Consultants.Conduct
weekly/monthly departmental communication meetings and represent the fitness
centre in weekly spa departmental meetings.Follow and ensure
that all employees follow safety procedures and practices.Develop and implement
programs to enhance fitness revenue.Monitor and
effectively control fitness payroll and expenses.Ensure fitness
maintains a positive relationship with all departments in the spa and hotel.Ensure the facilities
are in peak condition at all times (operations and cleanliness) while managing
the equipment maintenance program.Carry
out any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Recognized certifications in fitness training and fitness appraisals.
Preferably A.F.L.C.A or C.F.C certified.
Experience teaching fitness classes.
Successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual- effective communicator who enjoys working with people- pays attention to detail- has proven record in program design and /or program facilitation.
Current CPR & First Aid.
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):Constant standing and walking throughout shiftLifting – Under 20lbs 20% of work timeCarrying – Over 20lbs 10% of work time
